Op. Dr. Mehtap Özkahraman Kırık was born in 1986. She graduated top of her class from Diyarbakır Anatolian Teacher High School and was admitted to Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa Medical School) in 2004 with a high ranking. After her graduation in 2010, she completed a 4-month compulsory service at Çınar State Hospital while preparing for the Medical Specialization Exam (TUS). In the same year, she ranked highly in the TUS and was accepted into the ENT (Otorhinolaryngology) Department at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital. She completed her residency in 2015 and fulfilled her mandatory service at İslahiye State Hospital between 2015 and 2018. She then worked at a private hospital between 2018 and 2022. Since 2022, she has been providing services at her own private clinic. After becoming a specialist in 2015, she passed the written part of the European Board Examination in Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery held in Genoa, Italy, and the oral part in Vienna, Austria, thus earning the European qualification in ENT. She also holds the Turkish Board Certification in the same field.
